BURNSVILLE CITY COUNCIL

TESTED & TRUSTED

LEADERSHIP

EXPERIENCED. DEDICATED. DELIVERING.

Burnsville deserves leadership that puts residents first, protects what makes our community strong, and plans responsibly for the future.

Dan Kealey is committed to practical, accountable leadership focused on the issues that matter most to Burnsville residents: public safety, sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and smart economic development.

Serving Burnsville means making thoughtful decisions today while planning responsibly for our city’s future. From public safety and infrastructure to redevelopment, parks and protecting our natural resources, I’m proud of the work we’ve done—and I’m committed to keeping Burnsville moving forward.

Building a Stronger Burnsville

Public Safety

Strengthening Regional Efforts to Reduce Violent Crime

I strongly supported Burnsville Police’s participation in a regional partnership focused on reducing violent crime, illegal firearms activity and organized criminal activity.

By working alongside local, county and state law enforcement partners, Burnsville investigators can strengthen information sharing, coordinate investigations and address criminal activity that extends beyond city boundaries.

Responsible Growth & Fiscal Stewardship

Burnsville Center & Center Village Redevelopment

The Burnsville Center area presents one of our community’s largest redevelopment opportunities, and also one of its most complex.

Through my work with the Economic Development Authority, I’ve supported the City’s efforts to work with private property owners and create the planning framework necessary for long-term redevelopment.

Protecting Burnsville

Protecting Clean Water & Natural Resources

Clean drinking water, healthy parks and protected natural areas are essential community assets.

When redevelopment is considered, environmental conditions, including water resources, soil conditions and potential contamination, must be taken seriously. The City manages land-use decisions while environmental agencies such as the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency oversee applicable environmental review, cleanup and remediation requiements.

I support responsible redevelopment that recognizes those distinct responsibilities while protecting the natural resources Burnsville residents depend on,

Community & Quality of Life

A Commitment to Civility

I supported Burnsville’s commitment to civility, dignity and respect in local government.

The City Council’s civility resolution recognizes that people can bring different experiences, ideas and perspectives to the table while still listening to one another, treating people with respect and working together for the common good.
